GrantWorks
is committed to helping communities preserve their heritage, improve their economic
vitality and maintain their affordability.
Our planning professionals work with local leaders and residents to identify
what they like and what they would change about their community.
Graphical aides such as color mapping, pictures, and geographical information
systems (GIS) provide images of what the community is right now and what it
could be in the future.
Goals and objectives that drive this future vision are derived in workshops
with leaders and residents and through practical experience shared by our staff
with you.
Planning/Capacity
Building Fund
Funding is available once every two years through a statewide competition to
provide assistance to cities for planning activities that assess local needs
and then develop strategies and build local capacity that address those needs.
Common planning activities include base map creation and studies of infrastructure
systems, housing, land use, economic development, parkland, and capital improvements
planning. Grants are based on population size and typically range from $15,000
to $50,000.
