Who is GrantWorks?

Why do I need a grant administrator?
A trained grant administrator will keep your project moving forward while complying with the many state and federal grant requirements that govern CDBG funding.
 
Grant administrators relieve the local staff in preparing paperwork, project coordination with engineers and state personnel, and handling compliance procedures.  
 
The grant administrator you select will be paid directly by ORCA under the CDBG Disaster Recovery Program.

Facility damage caused by Hurricane Ike:

Water and Wastewater Systems

Roadways and  Bridges

Bulkheads, Causeways

Drainage systems

Improving systems that failed to function:

Elevating Roadways, Lift Stations, etc.

Sewer Line Replacement /Sealing

Drainage projects to alleviate flooding

Shoreline protection—Bulkheads, Seawalls

Generators for operation of critical facilities

Shelter capacity expansion, etc.
 
How will the CDBG Disaster Recovery funding be implemented?

Choose a grant project administrator and engineer from ORCA’s approved provider lists.

Chosen firms prepare the official ORCA application forms for submittal.

Firms provide support needed to quickly and correctly implement your Disaster Recovery project.

Engineers and administrators are paid directly by ORCA—there is no cost to the community.
